Babies, Buds and Beautiful Weather......

Hello My Friends!

I must say, I have been neglecting my blog and my work these past few days......the weather has been too beautiful to be indoors.

The humidity has been low, the skies, a crystal blue and it feels more like September than July.

My apologies for the lack of updates. Sometimes the old brain needs a little vacation before whipping up new and exciting ideas.

So, I'm back. I made a great fall piece today. A fantastic, olde, distressed pumpkin, witch hat and mouse. Click my eBay link to visit the auction tonight at 10 EST. :-)

But before I did that... I wandered about in the garden... looking at all of my hard work come to fruition.

These baby American Robins are living in my garden. Running about in the ivy and mint. Sitting atop my chaise lounge... pooping on it, of course. But no worries. They are too cute to shoo them away. This shot I must say looks professional. And that never happens when I take a photo. The lighting was just so right and the coloring on this sweet baby... well. You don't get much better than that. How sweet. He doesn't even have a tail yet. Just born probably 1-2 wks. ago. :-)

I love watching them. They get into trouble, just like toddlers. LOL
Here's another photo.. of the other baby.

Sitting on my trumpet vine stalk. They let me get so close to them. It's amazing how innocent and trusting they are.

A baby Cardinal actually flew up to the Robins and the Robins thought the Cardinal was going to feed them. The baby Cardinal had no idea what was going on either!

I'm so happy to provide all of the things to make these birds feel comfortable in my garden. Shelter, water, food. They bring such smiles to my face each time I see them.

On another note, the tomatoes are growing each day. I am so looking forward to my tomato sandwiches. Mayo, white bread, salt, and maybe some American cheese and I'm a happy camper. These are beefsteak which are perfectly meaty for a sandwich. Not a lot of seeds and water inside.

And the Zinnias.....I just love them. They are one of my favorite olde-fashioned flowers. So beautiful! This orange is so vivid. The butterflies love the little yellow flowers in the center. :-) I grow them from seed each year and anxiously await which colors will show their faces. So far, I got a beautiful antique white one, a hot pink and a couple of beautiful hot orange. :) Hopefully, I'll get at least one cherry red!

So.........that's what I've been up to. I hope you will enjoy your holiday weekend. Please be safe and have fun and I'll be talking to you again real soon!

Hugs and Simple Blessings to you my friends!
