My New Friend, Leah!

Hello friends! Wow, it's been a busy week! I wanted to share some photos of my new baby, Leah... or "Le Le"...

We took her in two days ago and she's brought such joy already! I think she's about 12 wks. old. Her markings are gorgeous and she's such a playful, loving little kitten...

I had two cats that recently passed away. I have always been a cat-lover and knew I couldn't live without a furry little creature roaming my house for too long. So....... I took a leap and took her in. After losing my two cats of 14 yrs. and 19 yrs. the emotional attachment I had was so deep that I swore I'd never take in another for fearing losing it once again. But I'm so glad I did.

She attacks my feet under the covers in the morning with a great, big pounce and wakes me to her little purr and I'm in heaven! She'll snuggle up around my neck when she's tired and rub her teensy little face against mine and I absolutely LOVE it!

Here she is...

What a sweetie, huh?

Other than my new addition, I've been working on some new Raggedies... You can find them HERE on eBay!

I hope you enjoy your weekend! It's nice 'n cool here today... thank goodness that oppressive humidity is gone for now at least!

Blessings,
Wendy

  2. How adorable! My parents just lost 2 of their boys a few months ago and they said the same thing. And yet 2 months ago, mom and I went flower shopping at a local farm and came home with a kitten who was still so young had to be bottle fed. Mom forgot to get the plant she went for and went back a few days later. Came home with a 2nd one! LOL Someone took him and returned him...how horrible! He would not shut up the entire 1st day, I said he was telling us the tale of his life. Funny thing about us animal lovers is that as much as it hurts to lose them, we can never be without them either. And I always say, you're taking an animal in, making it a part of your family and giving it the best life it can have for as long as it's with you. Leah looks perfectly sweet!!!

I have to always have a house cat too. My Husband calls mine a live nic-nac. He's just a part of my decor!

  6. the kitty is precious, love her stripes!...I went without a kitty for about 20 years after losing my beloved Emily for fear that I'd not survive such a loss again so I know exactly what you mean!

I swear that I will never get another one, it does hurt to lose them, but I am lost with out my obnoxious balls of fur, lol.

  8. Your kitten is beautiful! I waited over 2 years after losing my cat, Bucky. I now
have another black kitten, named Chumlee
and he is so much fun! He does get into
trouble now and then, but it's worth it to
have him....He is a little stinker!
